Chapter 3
This chapter reiterates the research questions and hypotheses, present the research design, discuss the participants, the instruments to be used, the procedure, the data analysis plan, and the sample size justification.
RESEARCH DESIGN
This study is an experimental research that employed a between-subjects design. It is a research design wherein the manipulated independent variable is tested for its effectiveness by means of comparison of the dependent variable between groups. This specific research design is the most suitable for the researchers’ study, as it fits the experimental set-up of the research. The researchers have four groups and one plant sample each under it. Each group is designated a particular time (24 hours, 6 days, 9 days, 15 days) before the plant sample is removed from the synthetic wastewater and both plant and water samples are collected. After the rhizofiltration process, the samples underwent data analysis, and the researchers determined if there was a significant difference between the four samples.
